This scripture + Matt 7:13%26amp;14 would seem to indicate only one faith (Religion) or do you think it is just a general statement for Christian ?Eph 4:5 one Lord ,one Faith one Baptism does this mean one true religion or umbrella all Christian faiths ?
There is only One True Faith.
It was there in the Garden of Eden, then Able, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, then Jesus Christ, the new covenant he made with his apostles, the Christian congregation, and now there is only one faith that strives to follow Christs teaching to the fullest letter and spirit of the world!Eph 4:5 one Lord ,one Faith one Baptism does this mean one true religion or umbrella all Christian faiths ?
';One Lord'; For believers there is only one God, and one Lord, Jesus Christ through whom are all things, and through whom we live. (1 Corinthians 1:2, 8:5,6)
';One faith'; This is the Christian faith, and refers to the ';body of doctrine'; (The Bible) ';once for all delivered unto the saints'; (Jude 3)
';One baptism'; There are two ways which this is true. First, there is one baptism by the Spirit, by which those that trust in Christ are placed into the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Then there is one baptism by which believers in Christ confess their identification with Christ in death, burial, and resurrection. This is signified explicitly in baptism by immersion.
I believe: One Lord --- Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the living God................One Faith --- the faith that we have to accept Jesus as our Saviour..............One Baptism --- when we are baptized in obedience after we have accepted Jesus as our Saviour....................All of which have absolutely NOTHING to do with 'religion'...............only God's plan of salvation....................
God Bless...........
The Bible says that the church is the bodies of believers physically. That is what it is referring to.
The church is not a building made with bricks and boards and man's hands, and it is not an organization.
It kind of implies that Christians should be getting along better than they are.
I love your avatar.
